  • For people who work for themselves
  • For small groups and community workers
  • Two types of plans:

A. Bronze Plan - Basic coverage

B. Silver Plan - More protection

C. Platinum Plan - Enhanced

  • For retired workers
  • Helps older people get medical care
  1. Equity Health Plan for the vulnerables (age 0-5 years, elderly above 60 years, the poor and people living with disabilities)

  1. Top Care Plan
  • For people who want extra medical services
  • More protection than other plans

Steps to get health insurance:

  1. Visit an Edo State Health Insurance Commission (EDOHIS) Office
  • Block B, 8th floor, secretariat building, Sapele road, Benin City
  • Block B, old SDP building, borehole road, Benin/Auchi road, Ekpoma
  • Edo state government building, adjacent post office, up garage, Auchi
  • 19A central park, Obahavbaye, Benin City

  • Fill out the form completely
  • Ask for help if you need it
  1. Pay for Your Insurance

Pay using:

  • Bank card
  • Bank transfer
  • Point of Sale (POS)
  1. Get Your ID Card
  • Collect your health insurance card
  • Keep it safe
  • Show it at the hospital or health facility when you need medical care
